Privacy Notice

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This notice explains how speak global ("we", "us"), the provider of the Live Interpreter service, handles personal data. speak global is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@translateontg.xyz.

Data we collect and why

  • Account data (email address, hashed password or Google account identifier) — to create and secure your account and give you access to the console. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Audio and transcripts processed during a relay session (spoken audio segments, resulting transcripts and translations, speaker labels) — to provide the translation service. Audio is streamed to our speech and translation providers for processing and is not retained by us as audio; transcripts and translations are stored so you can review and export the session. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Telegram listener data (Telegram user or chat identifier, username, chosen language, last interaction time) — to deliver translated messages to listeners who have subscribed to the bot. Legal basis: performance of our contract and legitimate interests in operating the service.
  • Usage records (estimated cost and volume per session) — to operate the service and keep accurate records. Legal basis: contract performance and legitimate interests.
  • Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and service reliability. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Support messages you send us — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share data with

  • Service providers and subprocessors that host our infrastructure and database, provide speech-to-text, machine translation and text-to-speech, and deliver Telegram messages.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
  • Authorities where we are required to do so by law.

International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the UK/EEA. Where data is transferred, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses together with appropriate technical safeguards.

Retention

Account, listener and billing records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. Session transcripts and translations are kept so you can review past sessions and are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, or sooner on request. Live audio is processed transiently and not stored as audio files.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your supervisory authority. Contact us at the address above and we will respond within one month.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level database security, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

Cookies and local storage

We use only essential cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your console settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear this data at any time in your browser settings, though doing so will sign you out.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
